Excursions, Camps and Co-curricular
As part of its core mission, Sunshine Christian School seeks to develop the potential of each individual; spiritually, academically, physically, creatively and personally. As such, students are regularly involved in many co-curricular and extra-programs designed to support student development. Students can expect to be exposed to the following programs throughout their time at Sunshine Christian School:
- Daily devotion and prayer in addition to weekly whole school worship
- Overnight
activities:
- Year 1/2 sleepover
- Year 3/4 three day city experience at Doxa City Camp and a three day farm experience at Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Hamilton
- Year 5/6 two day camp to Sovereign Hill, Ballarat and a four day experience in Canberra
- Physical activity programs including swimming and sports days
- School musical
- Fire education
- Lutheran celebrations
- Cultural Celebrations including Multicultural Day
- Gardening Club
- A whole-school buddy reading and writing program
- Interschool sports
- Interschool Athletics
- A variety of experiential excursions aimed at enriching student learning

- Fundraising opportunities i.e Jump Rope for Heart, SCS Got Talent etc

- ICAS tests in Science, Spelling, Maths, Writing and English
- Grade 3/4/5/6 Peer Mediator training
- The Kidz Bodz Healthy Eating Challenge
- The Music program (Choir, recorder group and other activities)
- The Resiliency Program for students in years 3-6
