Sunshine Christian School Board
Our school is governed by a school board which is appointed by the District Church Council of the Lutheran Church of Australia Victoria and Tasmania Synod. Members are elected by their bodies and serve two-year terms. All members of our school board serve in a voluntary capacity.
It is the role of the School Board to provide strategic guidance for the school and to effectively oversee and review the School’s management. The Board also monitors adherence to systems of risk management, ensures compliance with legal obligations, and, undertake periodic performance reviews. It is not the Board’s responsibility to become involved in the day-to-day management and operations of the School - this is the responsibility of the Principal.
You may contact the School Board Chair by emailing chair@scs.vic.edu.au.

I serve on SCS board because Governance in Schools is a passion and a privilege. Being on the school board and being part of this wonderful group of people is very inspiring and uplifting. I hope that my work, life, and family business experiences can help the school maintain its good stature in the Sunshine Community and the greater Lutheran school system.

Background: I live in Yarraville with my husband and my two boys. I have worked in the Lutheran System as a Teacher both in Primary and Secondary Schools for about 20 years. I am recently working at Good News Lutheran College in Tarneit. I grew up on a farm 30 km north of Horsham, near the Grampians.
