Wildlife Incursion
03-May-2023
On Tuesday 4th April, Sunshine Christian School hosted Earl from Wildlife Exposure. Earl ran an engaging and exciting session for each of the classes. The Years 3-6 students learnt about endangered native animals such as the bettong, squirrel glider, broad shell turtle, saltwater crocodile and blue-tongued lizard and were able to see the creatures up close. Ask your child how we can each do our part to help keep our native animals safe in the wild.
The students in Prep up to Year 2 were treated to a ‘mini beast’ incursion, where they learnt about spiny leaf insects, spiders, millipedes, yabbies and cockroaches. They were able to look at the mini beasts up close and in some cases, touch or hold the critters on display.
